DELTA Ukraine certified the B11 business campus in UNIT.City, which received a LEED Silver certificate

Business campus B11 in UNIT.City, the developer of which was the UDP company, received the LEED v.4 Core & Shell Silver certificate from the American Green Building Council (USGBC).
The business campus building is already the fourth commercial building in Ukraine that DELTA Ukraine has successfully certified under this system – business campuses B12, B9 and B10, which are also located on the territory of UNIT.City, received the LEED certificate before it. Maxim Zayka, DELTA project manager for green certification LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, was responsible for the successful implementation of the certification.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is one of the world’s most widespread voluntary green certification systems, which has been operating since 1998.
LEED certification encourages the creation of environmentally friendly buildings by selecting sustainable sites, conserving water resources, conserving energy resources, choosing sustainable building materials, and ensuring high indoor air quality.
Among the green features of the B11 business campus, the following should be noted:
- Energy-efficient design, which allows to reduce the annual energy consumption of the building by 61% compared to the basic indicator of the American energy efficiency standard ASHRAE 90.1-2010, and its cost – by 49%.
- Advanced energy consumption accounting system.
- Water-efficient plumbing fixtures that reduce water use by 49% compared to the LEED baseline.
- A landscaped area with plants that do not require constant watering.
- Separate collection of household waste for further processing.
- Smoking is prohibited in the building and near its entrances.
- Two-stage purification of supply air with the help of air filters.
