DELTA Ukraine certified the В9В10 business campus in UNIT.City, which received the Silver LEED certificate!

The В9В10 business campus in UNIT.City received the LEED v.4 Core & Shell Silver certificate from the American Green Building Council (USGBC). The campus was implemented by the UDP development company in 2019, and in 2020, with the receipt of the LEED certificate, the energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of the building was confirmed at the international level.

The building was certified by DELTA Ukraine. Maksym Zayka, DELTA project manager for LEED, BREEAM, DGNB green certification, was responsible for its successful implementation.

“From the design stage to the construction of buildings and their operation – all facilities in innovation parks are created by the team of the UDP development company taking into account the international requirements of green construction. In fact, in this way, we create not only energy-efficient buildings, but also trends for the entire development market of the country. Sustainable development and frugal use of natural resources should become the new basis of responsible development in modern Ukraine,” commented UDP Vice President Vitaly Melnyk on receiving the LEED certificate.

Thus, the thoughtful architecture of the В9В10 business campus in UNIT.City and energy-efficient engineering solutions made it possible to reduce the annual energy consumption of the building by 33% and reduce the amount of water use by 50%, while ensuring high air quality in the building through its two-stage purification and control quantities using sensors.

“Certification of the B9B10 campus was an interesting case for us, as it essentially consists of two separate buildings connected by a common engineering support system. This led to certain peculiarities of the certification process, which, however, did not prevent us from achieving the desired result,” says Maksym Zayka, manager of green certification of DELTA projects.

The В9В10 business campus in UNIT.City is the second commercial building in Ukraine to be awarded the LEED distinction. The first such building was the B12 campus, also on the territory of UNIT.City. The green certification of this building was also performed by DELTA Ukraine.
