Strengthening of resources for sustainable development of communities. GIZ Ukraine and DELTA Ukraine project
25. February 2021
In September of this year, a new project “Strengthening resources for the stable development of communities hosting internally displaced persons in Eastern Ukraine” was launched. One of the goals of which is to implement an effective, needs-oriented and future-oriented strategy for the maintenance of socially significant objects. The DELTA team is responsible for it.
21 communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia regions are participating in the implementation of the project. Among the objects are educational and medical institutions, objects in the field of social services. For DELTA Ukraine, the social component of the project is important, because it is aimed at improving operational services.
DELTA Ukraine services in the project:
– Assessment of the needs of communities in the field of maintenance and operation of buildings, structures and adjacent territory.
– Technical assessment of institutions and their assessment of energy efficiency.
– Development of an operation and maintenance strategy and their implementation together with the community: development in constant exchange with the partner community of procedures and processes for planning, drawing up the budget and implementing the necessary maintenance measures. Implementation is carried out both at the administrative level (building owner) and at the institutional level (building user).
Now the project is at the stage of information gathering and technical evaluation of objects. DELTA Ukraine team members: Yuliya Kuprienko, project manager, and Andriy Tsyba, who is responsible for technical assessment of the state of buildings and engineering systems, have already made a business trip to Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
