General renovation of the Barmherzige Schwestern Linz hospital – a milestone in the 2030 master plan

With the start of construction work on the new Building M, an important milestone has been reached in the general renovation of the Ordensklinikum Linz hospital. DELTA was commissioned with project control and the digital project data pool – our CDE tool “Datenpool” – and is supporting the project as part of the 2030 master plan.

Demolition work on the forecourt has been completed, and shell construction began in August. A modern new building is thus being constructed on Seilerstätte, which will contribute significantly to the further development and future-oriented care provided by the hospital. All official requirements were successfully met in advance: approval by the design advisory board, adaptation of the development plan, and receipt of the building permit.

A particular highlight is the innovative tendering and awarding of the construction work as a partial general contract within a two-stage process with a subsequent partnering phase. The planned completion and commissioning of the new building is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.

The project is characterized by a high degree of complexity – construction in an inner-city existing building while operations continue and with tightly scheduled construction phases. “Thanks to the dedicated project team and team spirit, this can be achieved,” report Andreas Dopplmair (Managing Director), Stefan Weiss (Construction Manager & Project Manager) and Carolin Breitschopf (Construction Manager) on behalf of DELTA.

We look forward to the next steps in this important healthcare project and would like to thank the fantastic project team and our client for the excellent cooperation.
