Building partnerships for Moldova’s future

In line with the Austrian Government’s strong support for the Republic of Moldova’s accelerated accession to the European Union, DELTA was pleased to participate in the Austrian economic mission to Chișinău in October.

Moldova’s path towards the EU opens up opportunities for cooperation, investment and development. For DELTA, this is an opportunity to contribute our experience in planning and delivering infrastructure that serves people.

Discussions with Austrian Ambassador Martina Hermann, Invest Moldova Agency, representatives of the ministries responsible for the economy, education and regional development, the EU Delegation, and International Financial Institutions including the European Investment Bank (EIB), World Bank Group (WBG) and EBRD provided valuable insights into the country’s priorities.

Our focus is on supporting the modernisation and expansion of healthcare and educational facilities, while also exploring opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors. We see potential to bring the experience gained through our international projects, including our work on EIB-financed education and healthcare facilities in Ukraine, to future partnerships in Moldova.

For Gordana Milosevic Jurukovska, MSc, Team Leader International Projects at DELTA, and Dmytro Omelchuk, Commercial Director at DELTA Ukraine, these exchanges are an essential starting point: understanding local needs, connecting expertise and building trust before developing projects together.

The Austrian National Day reception offered a further opportunity to strengthen connections and reflect on the close relations between Austria and the Republic of Moldova.

Thank you to Ambassador Martina Hermann and her team, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Bucharest, and all our counterparts for the open dialogue and valuable exchange. We look forward to continuing these conversations and developing concrete opportunities for cooperation.
