High-performance construction site in the heart of Salzburg
29. September 2025
The new Salzburg State Service Center (LDZ) is rapidly growing in height—with up to 500 craftsmen working on the construction site at the same time, a hybrid construction of wood and concrete, a photovoltaic facade, and a net usable area of around 50,000 m². This will be Austria’s most modern administrative building.
We at DELTA, together with Drees & Sommer Austria, are responsible for the accompanying control (BK) of this once-in-a-century project. On the DELTA side, David Gucher and Ingo Huber are responsible for implementation.
Special features of the project:
- Shell construction and interior work are running in parallel
- Hybrid construction ensures speed and sustainability
- klimaaktiv certification with 900 points
- Space for 1,300 modern workplaces and an open citizen service center
- The topping-out ceremony is already planned for November 2025—a visible milestone on the way to completion at the end of 2026.
A big thank you to everyone involved in the project for their excellent cooperation!
