Ottakring Clinic: Topping-out ceremony for Project P30 – a milestone for trauma care
29. July 2025

An important project milestone was celebrated at the Ottakring Clinic site: just nine months after construction began, the shell of the new Pavilion 92 – a modular timber construction for accident surgery – has been completed. DELTA is responsible for project monitoring & control as part of sub-project P30 of the WIGEV project development. Matthias Zawischa is the project manager.
A building with a future – made of wood
The high degree of prefabrication, the short construction time, and the climate-friendly timber construction not only enable rapid implementation but also flexible reuse.
The new building offers around 3,130 m² of floor space on three floors for the accident and emergency department, intensive care unit, and ward for accident surgery, as well as the plastic surgery department. The operating rooms in the existing Pavilion 30 are being renovated at the same time.
