GIZ. Strengthening resources of host communities, Ukraine

In September 2020, the project “Strengthening resources for the stable development of communities hosting internally displaced persons in Eastern Ukraine” was launched.

Duration of the project: 2020-2022.

The goal of the project: to implement an effective, needs-oriented and future-oriented strategy for the maintenance of socially significant objects. The DELTA team is responsible for it.

21 communities of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions are participating in the implementation of the project. Among the objects are educational and medical institutions, objects in the field of social services. For DELTA Ukraine, the social component of the project is important, because it is aimed at improving operational services.

DELTA Ukraine services

• Assessment of the needs of communities in the field of maintenance and operation of buildings, structures and adjacent territory.
• Technical assessment of institutions and their assessment of energy efficiency.
• Development of an operation and maintenance strategy and their implementation together with the community: development of procedures and processes for planning, budgeting and implementation of necessary maintenance measures in constant exchange with the partner community. Implementation is carried out both at the administrative level (building owner) and at the institutional level (building user).
