Description

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided a loan of up to EUR 6.0 million to the Public Utility Company Komunalac, in the City of Gradačac, responsible for water and wastewater services, to be co-financed by grants of up to EUR 13,5 million from international donors (SIDA, CRA and WBIF) and co-financing of the the Gradačac City government.

• Construction of 2 wells (capacity cca 100 l/s), control command facility and procurement and installation of chlorination equipment;
• Replacement of existing asbestos-cement pipelines and pipes with insufficient profiles in the urban part of the town of Gradačac (cca 40 km) ;
• Reconstruction of central reservoir Skorici, 1.500 m³;
• Construction of 5 pumping stations in the new southern water supply system and of 5 booster pumping stations in the new southern water supply system;
• Construction of 6 reservoirs in the new southern water supply system;
• Construction of water distribution networks to be connected to the southern system (cca 80 km);
• Construction of wastewater collection system for 4 communities in northern area, pipelines of 20 km and 7 wastewater pumping stations;
• Assessment of the level of utilisation of the existing water supply network and modification of the detailed design for a new water supply network in the southern part of the municipality.

Scope of Services:

• Support to the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) throughout the entire duration of the project
• Advise the PIU/Company on procurement strategy,
• Design review and detailed design,
• Assist the PIU/Company to prepare tender documents inclusive technical specifications and requirements for 5 Works Contracts (with more Lots) and one Supply Contract; support during the procurement process,
• Assist the PIU/Company with drafting the contract with the winning tenderers, FIDIC Conditions of Contract, Red Book and contract administration,
• Provide full supervisory services during construction in accordance with valid BH laws and Red FIDIC Conditions of Contract of the following scope of works:
  1. Construction of new pressure and distribution pipelines and networks – cca 94 km;
  2. Construction / installation of water supply facilities, including: Domažić well field, pumping stations and water tanks;
  3. Reconstruction of existing water supply pipelines and network – cca 45 km;
  4. Reconstruction and extension of the sewerage system – cca 25 km;
• Procurement of leak detection equipment and measuring equipment.
