Building in Partnership: How Does an Approach Become Lived Project Practice?
03. November 2026
Early involvement, transparent decision-making and shared goals lay the foundation for reliable collaboration in construction. The publication “Building in Partnership: From Impulse to Implementation” by IG Lebenszyklus Bau shows how these principles can be put into practice.
Our colleagues Doris Schmidtberger and Hildegard Utermoehlen, construction project managers and experts in collaborative project delivery at DELTA, contributed to the publication. Together with Magdalena Prem-Granitzer (Landesholding Burgenland) and Attila Siegl (Lindner Group), they led the working group.
The practical guide for clients, contractors and consultants explores Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). It addresses key questions: What kind of corporate culture is needed for collaborative construction? How can risks be managed jointly? And how can conflicts be handled constructively?
At DELTA, this means bringing expertise together at an early stage, taking responsibility and aligning decisions with the shared success of the project. This allows risks to be identified earlier, interfaces to be clarified, and costs and schedules to be planned more reliably.
Thank you to IG Lebenszyklus Bau, the entire leadership team and everyone involved for the valuable exchange and collaborative work on this practical guide!
The guide is presented on 3 November at the 16th Congress of IG Lebenszyklus Bau: https://lnkd.in/eNXMz2sq
