Which of the planned green commitments are crucial in the construction and real estate industry? And how will this manifest itself in practice/in projects?

We at the DELTA Group have been committed to implementing the goals of the “Green Deal” for two years now and, with our GREEN MISSION, we are pursuing our own targets based on the six environmental goals of the EU taxonomy, which we evaluate specifically for each project.

In doing so, we rely on partnership-based cooperation and an integrated planning and consulting approach. This enables us to make buildings more comparable and to present our sustainable projects to clients in a comprehensible manner.

The biggest challenges remain climate change adaptation—which will be further promoted in the future by the EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) in order to reduce the carbon footprint in construction and operation—and the transition to a circular construction industry.

While we are already very far along with new buildings, we are working with innovative concepts and tailor-made strategies for existing buildings to reconcile sustainability and economic efficiency.

We are still in the early stages of the circular economy, but we are actively involved in numerous pilot and research projects of our own to lead the construction industry step by step into a circular future.
