‘Schule Digital (Digital School)’ project celebration 6 November 2024 at the Technical University “TU the Sky” – Organiser Wien Energie

The DELTA BK team (our service in the project is the „accompanying control“) was pleased to participate in the “Schule Digital” project celebration.

Wien Energie and the City of Vienna have been working together for years on the classroom of the future and have already implemented a number of milestones along the way. The City of Vienna’s ‘Digital Schools’ programme aims to create the conditions for the effective use of digital teaching materials in the city’s schools.

As part of the interdepartmental project (MA01 and MA56), the necessary infrastructure for comprehensive WLAN has been implemented on the premises (classrooms) of schools in the city of Vienna (new secondary schools, vocational schools and polytechnic schools). The programme has been extended to include Vienna’s primary schools, which are to be equipped with comprehensive WLAN by the end of 2027, in order to prepare pupils as best as possible for handling and using digital devices as early as primary school.

The programme was praised at the ceremony by Deputy Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr, Mr Jörg Neumayer (spokesman for digitalisation and education) represented Ms Ulli Sima and emphasised the importance of the programme for achieving the goals of digital education. The report by the school’s headmistress, Ms Hohenauer, was particularly exciting. With great commitment, the students are supported with digital teaching tools to give them new opportunities in their future lives.
