Special features

• The first sub-project in Stifterstrasse has already been successfully handed over in spring 2024: Laboratory for Molecular Genetic Diagnostics (LMGD) and the Institute for Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology
• Project start on the hospital site at the beginning of June 2024: expansion of the emergency outpatient clinic and BTE (radiooncology outpatient clinic in building E)
• The main measures (demolition of the forecourt, construction of the new BTM building) began in January 2025. The first construction phase, comprising sections K, M, E, and F, is scheduled for completion at the end of 2027. The second construction phase will then begin with the demolition and new construction of the BTD on Langgasse, as well as various renovation work on other sections, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2030.
• The complex official procedures, user consultations and the coordination of necessary temporary arrangements to ensure ongoing operations are challenging, but manageable thanks to the great project team
