Construction site report: Vienna Sports Arena – DELTA service is accompanying control

The DELTA project managers are Matthias Knauer and Johannes Muhr. The project duration is from August 2021 until the planned start of operations in summer 2025.
Matthias Knauer: “The new Vienna Sports Arena [SAWI] is a challenging project in many respects from the point of view of the accompanying supervision. The project is of great interest due to its strong external impact and its location (former Ferry Dusika Stadium; in the immediate vicinity of the project: the bus station and the Ernst Happel Stadium). The positioning and integration of popular sports (popularity of ball sports) also makes the project publicly effective and relevant for many ball sports clubs. The handling in connection with the ambitious schedule and the dimensions of the sports arena represent a challenging task in terms of logistics and handling. Thanks to the professional and efficient AG structure, the involvement of specialist expertise (e.g. Raumkunst, OISS, Immovement) and the efficiency of the contractors, the project is expected to make positive progress.”
